Welshriesling (Olaszriesling) Hungaricum
Its history in Hungary goes back to such old times that it can well be regarded as a Hungarian variety. This variety has reached the peak of its success here, a traditional vine of the Pécs Wine Region. Its peculiar feature is the taste and flavour resembling bitter almond. In its scent a slight touch of mignonette can be felt. Due to the Mediterranean effects, its acids are more rounded. From the overripened grapes, in the adequate years special quality oxidative type wines with long fermentation time can be made.
