What does it mean?

The organic farming is a so-called conscious management. This means that we refuse to use any nature destructive methods and our processes harmonize with the laws of nature. Additionally, organic wine is a guarantee of quality and that the product does not contain any harmful substances.

How is it done?

Our vineyards' sub-Mediterranean climate and the extremely favorable conditions for grape growing result an excellent location for organic farming.

We support the grape's natural defenses with intensive, careful cultivation, with limited amount of non-absorbant natural sulfur and copper, also with biological conditioners and immune boosters (like fermented juice of nettle, comfrey, etc..). The maintenance of ecological balance protects the habitat of the pests' natural enemies, and prove that the undisturbed ecosystem functions perfectly.

The yield is limited, since our organic fields are much more green than the conventional ones

The hand harvested and selected organic grapes are excellent materials for organic wine and must production. The wine treatment technologies ignore the use of synthetic additives, only natural-based products can be applied.

The entire product chain is monitored and qualified by an accredited organization, the Biokontroll Hungary, which ensure that the wine is high quality organic product. This organization is approved by the IFOAM (International Federation of Organic Agricultural Movements) and these conditions are in accordance with the EU directives.
